Cenote

There was definitely something down there, but it wasn't easy to reach. The rock walls dropped vertically for several meters, and those deep waters didn't reveal what was hidden; and I assure you, anything can hide in the darkest waters, almost never anything friendly.
So we prepared a series of ropes, tied them to a strong tree trunk, then one of us, the lightest and most agile, plucked up the courage to descend.
It was a terrible idea.
